SAINT HELENA OF THE CROSS

c246 - c330

St. Helena is presumed to have been a commoner before she was taken as the wife of Emperor Constantius I. She gave birth to Constantine who later converted to Christianity, after he became Emperor. St. Helena also converted, under her son's influence, and travelled to Jerusalem where, it is believed, Jesus's True Cross was discovered in c.320.

Did you know?

St. Helena was 80 years old when she travelled to Jerusalem!

A family tradition...

Consider hanging a crucifix in each room of your home and ask a priest to bless them and your home!
